SSC CGL is meant for an average candidate, Reality is level of questions asked in CGL is of very basic level in subjects like reasoning, maths and English & Gk is factual.
- General Awareness- I have studied from the lucent descriptive and objective book. These books will cover all the static portion and the previous year questions. Study current affairs for the last 6 months before the exam from GKtoday or any other website of your choice. Revise all the material before the exam at least 3–4 times. Please do not ignore this section as it will determine whether you will just qualify the exam or will be a rank holder.
- Mathematics-Firstly solve all the previous year questions from reference books to get yourself acquainted with syllabus and type of questions asked in the examination. Mark all the questions in which you have some doubt or there was some new concept. In this way you will have around 40-50 questions in each chapter for revision. The number of questions may go up to 100 in advance maths. Revise these questions time to time. Maintain a notebook for important questions and formulae. Revise it time to time. Also you can see his online videos of maths on youtube for chapter in which you have doubt. No need to watch all the videos. 3.English- For vocab -Firstly learn previous year vocab. Apart from this you can go for word power made easy. Revise the vocab time to time and maintain a diary in which you can write the words which you frequently encounter in newspaper and on mock tests.
4.Grammar- Study all the rules from any standard book like SP Bakshi or Neetu Singh. Solve the exercises from them. Apart from that solve the exercise and previous year questions from Mirror of common error book as the explanation in this book is very precise and there are lots of exercises in it for practice.
5.For comprehension and cloze test- Start reading newspaper and novels. If you are novice to the reading start reading the topic of your choice like sports and gradually move towards other topics.
