How to Prepare Reasoning Ability for IBPS RRB Office Assistant 2019 Prelims?



In IBPS RRB Office Assistant Prelims 2019 Exam, there will be two sections- Quantitative Ability and Reasoning Ability Sections. It will be mandatory to clear Prelims exam to become eligible to appear in IBPS RRB Office Assistant Mains 2019 Exam. Therefore, it is important to understand the importance of these two sections. In this article, we will primarily discuss the important tips to prepare Reasoning Ability Section for IBPS RRB Office Assistant 2019.

Before beginning the exam preparations, the students are advised to go through the syllabus and exam pattern of Prelims Exam properly. To prioritize important topics, we should first scrutinize previous year papers to understand the divisibility of marks topic-wise. In this topic, the students should be able to identify the type of code and coding trick used in on the word. It will help them in identifying the whole coding pattern of the question. The questions asked in exam are generally are –coding based on alphabet (letter to letter, jumbling of letters, letter to number, mixed coding (alphabets+ digits, numbers + symbols)), substitution,  coding consisting of a group of words etc.
  1. Blood Relations, Direction Sense, Order and Ranking
The questions based on Blood Relations are frequently asked. The questions can be classified are based on dialogues or conversation, puzzles or symbols. The students should learn the basics of understanding every blood relationship and then try to apply logics in understanding the problem. The questions on Direction Sense require you to understand the basics of concepts like type of directions, joint directions, and rules for distance and directions. In questions based on order and ranking, the students should try to understand position or rank of person from left-right/top-bottom/row-class, rank/position or total number of persons to be calculated.
