Is there any difference in syllabus between SSC CHSL Exam & SSC CGL Exam?



No, there is no difference in syllabus of SSC CHSL & SSC CGL Examination. These two are, competitive examinations which are conducted by Staff Selection Commission across India for 10+2 & Graduate students. The syllabus and pattern of both the examination is same but the level and quality of questions asked in SSC CGL examination is generally high than that of SSC CHSL examination. The next main difference is the eligibility criteria of these two.

Eligibility Criteria of SSC CGL & SSC CHSL
All the eligibility criteria of both the examinations are same except these two: -

Educational Qualification
SSC CGL Posts
·         Essential qualification for Bachelor’s Degree from a well-recognised university or Institute for Assistant Audit Officer & all other posts.

·         Desirable Qualification of Chartered Accountant/ Cost & Management Accountant/ Company Secretary/ Master of Commerce/ Master of Business Administration/ Master of Business Economics for Assistant Audit Officer.
·         Bachelor Degree in any subjects from recognized University or Institute with at-least 60% marks in Mathematics at 12th Standard for Junior Statistical Officer.

·         OR Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with statistics from a recognized University or Institute for Junior Statistical Office.

SSC CHSL Posts
According to the SSC CHSL eligibility criteria, candidates must have passed/qualified 10+2 or equivalent exam from any recognized board or university.

SSC CHSL
As per SSC CHSL age eligibility criteria, candidates must be in the age group of 18-27 years.

NOTE  : Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation certificate will be accepted by   the SSC for defining age.
